When Will The Family Man 4 Release & Will It End With Season 4? What We Know

Manoj Bajpayee's The Family Man 3 has hit the OTT platform on Friday and largely met with positive reviews.

The Family Man season 3 stars Manoj Bajpayee, Priyamani, Sharib Hashmi, Ashlesha Thakur, Vedant Sinha, Jaideep Ahlawat, Nimrat Kaur, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Harman Singha, Sundeep Kishan, Darshan Kumar, Seema Biswas, Gul Panag, Dalip Tahil, Vipin Sharma, Jugal Hansraj, and Aditya Srivastava.

Directed by Raj & DK, the ending of the latest series has also indicated that there will be season 4. As the story ended on a cliffhanger, the fans are eager to know when they can expect the next season. So, what information we have at this stage?

The Family Man Season 4 Release Date

Firstly, Season 4 of The Family Man has not been officially confirmed by Prime Video yet, but both the creators and Prime Video India's head have expressed strong interest in continuing the series during the promotion of Season 3.

As per the reports, the writing for Season 4 is reportedly underway, with shooting expected to begin around mid-2026. The earliest tentative release date suggested by industry reports and media is sometime between January and April 2027. Other estimates predict release as late as 2028, depending on production schedules.

During the promotion for Season 3, Prime Video India's head Nikhil Madhok stated, "Are we keen on The Family Man four? Absolutely keen. But we'll continue to maintain the bar. First, 'The Family Man' three should be loved by everybody. And second, four should have a compelling story."

Co-creator Raj cryptically said, "Once you see Season 3, the question will be answered," emphasizing that further seasons depend on Season 3's impact and the team's creative drive. There have also been reports that the creative team is considering ending the series with Season 4, but that decision remains pending.

Season 1 premiered in September 2019​

Season 2 was released on June 11, 2021​​

Season 3 launched on November 21, 2025, marking a gap of over four years post Season 2.

The pattern so far:

Gap between Season 1 and 2: ~1 year 9 months

Given this precedent, if Season 4 arrives in early or mid-2027, it would be about 1 to 1.5 years after Season 3; if it launches in 2028 as some sources suggest, the gap could extend to about 2.5-3 years. This slow production cycle is attributed to creative caution and high standards set by the show's creators.
