For the first day, BookMyShow has so far listed close to 250 shows in Bengaluru. However, only single screens have started the bookings and multiplexes are yet to commence the bookings. The makers are having special morning shows on the release day, and the ticket prices are huge.
The majority of the single screens have fixed the price of the tickets for the special morning shows Rs 500, with some charging Rs 400 and 600. However, Swagath Shankarnag is selling the tickets at Rs 900. However, the price for the regular shows is around Rs 200-250 per ticket.
"The advance booking has started, and there is a fantastic response from the fans. Many theatres have been decked up with large life-size cutouts of Darshan for The Devil release. It will be going to be a festive time for theatres in Karnataka," Rammurthy, who works as a manager at a leading single screen, said.

Not just in Bengaluru, the online booking has commenced in several cities including Mysuru and Hubli. "Looking at the buzz, the movie is sure to shatter several records," a trade analyst adds. "Without much competition, it is expected to dominate the screens across Karnataka," he adds.
The movie is coming at a time when Darshan is in jail in connection with the murder case of Renuka Swamy. Probably for the first time in a decade where the Challenging star will not be promoting the flick.
"Yet the craze around the movie has not diminished. We will ensure that the movie will become much bigger hit than his earlier movies," a fan at Balaji Theatre tells Oneindia.
The movie marks the reunion of director Prakash with Darshan after Tarak. It has Rachana Rai, Mahesh Manjrekar, Achyuth Kumar, Sharmiela Mandre, Roger Narayan, Shobhraj and others in the cast. It has B Ajaneesh Loknath's music, and Sudhakar S. Raj's cinematography.
