The gripping mystery drama centers around Sergeant Jasmeet 'Jass' Bhamra, played by Kareena Kapoor, who is coping with the loss of her young son, Ekam (Mairaj Kakkar). Returning to work after her grief, she is assigned the case of a missing boy, Ishpreet, who is roughly the same age as her late son. The film's ensemble cast also includes Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen.

In a recent interview with Variety, Kareena revealed that her portrayal of Jass is inspired by Kate Winslet's role in Mare of Easttown.
