'The Boys' Season 4 First Clip Reveal, Spoilers, Release Date, And More

Amazon Prime just revealed their first clip of season 4 of 'The Boys', which comes a month after the reveal of the first trailer of the season back on 4 May, 2024.

The clip also showed off a serious development for one of the main characters, Billy Butcher. Readers are advised to not watch the clip if they haven't seen the latter episodes of season 3 of 'The Boys' if they want to remain spoiler free.

Spoilers Given By The First Clip Of 'The Boys Season 4':

The first clip shows Billy Butcher trying to convince Ryan, the child of Butcher's wife, Becca Butcher and Homelander, to leave the evil superhero and run away. Butcher says once he gets Ryan away from Homelander, he will also disappear.

Butcher reminds Ryan of the incident where Homelander killed a civilian in front of him, something we see in the last few minutes of 'The Boys Season 3'. Ryan is still unconvinced.

Eventually, Homelander shows up, mocking Billy Butcher and using his X-Ray vision to point out the black tumours developing in his body from the overuse of temp-V. Another reference to a clip from Season 3 where Butcher is informed that he only has 12 to 18 months left to live. Homelander, however, says he probably has only six.

After another back and forth, Homelander calls Ryan over, after which they both walk away.

Original Trailer Reference And Other Details:

The reference to Butcher's limited time left to live isn't exclusive to this first clip either. In the first line of the voice-over in the original trailer, Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban, says, "I look back at my life and all I see are the messes I made. And I ain't got time to fix it."

The trailer also shows off many other shots of violence in the film, with characters covered in blood and picking apart limbs.

'The Boys Season 4' is set to premiere on June 13, 2024 on Amazon Prime Video.
