The movie was released on February 7 and met with mixed reviews. However, it did not impact the film's business as the business remained steady on all three days.

Thandel 1st Weekend Box Office Collection
On the first day, Thandel raked in Rs 11.5 crore. This is said to be the biggest opener in Naga Chaitanya's career. On its second day, the film earned Rs 12.1 crore while on third day the movie collected Rs 12.25 crore.
Who Owns Thandel Digital Rights?
Netflix has acquired the OTT rights of Thandel. Going by reports, the streaming giant has shelled out Rs 45 crore for the rights. The movie is expected to be out in March.
The Telugu Film Producers Council's mandate of a minimum of 50 days between a film's theatrical release and its streaming availability on OTT platforms prevents the movie from its digital release. In that case, it will be out only in April.
However, once the theatrical run is over, Thandel might be out on Netflix. The date is expected to be announced by the end of this month.
The story of Thandel revolves around the rugged experiences of fishermen from Srikakulam who found themselves accidentally drifting into Pakistani waters during a routine fishing trip. The narrative explores themes of love, revenge, courage and patriotism, weaving together action, drama, and emotion to captivate the audience.
