Tamil Singer Velmurugan Arrested For Assaulting Chennai Metro Staff
Popular Tamil singer Velmurugan found himself on the wrong side of the law as he has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a Chennai Metro Rail Limited. during a heated argument on Sunday.
The altercation reportedly took place at a metro rail construction site in Valasaravakkam. Witnesses claim that Velmurugan was under the influence of alcohol when the argument escalated into a physical altercation.

Metro Assistant Manager Vadivelu was among the metro staff allegedly assaulted during the incident, sustaining injuries in the process.
Following the altercation, Velmurugan was arrested by the Virugampakkam police. However, he was later released on bail.
Velmurugan, known for his vibrant folk performances, has not yet commented on the incident. However, his arrest has stirred discussions about accountability and responsibility, particularly among celebrities and public figures.
Velmurugan, an acclaimed Indian playback singer, is celebrated for his rendition of folk songs such as 'Madura' in 'Subramaniapuram', 'Aadungada' in 'Naadodigal', and 'Otha Sollala' in 'Aadukalam'.
