Tamil Actor Vishal Collapses On Stage In Villupuram, Health Stable Now

Tamil actor Vishal gave fans a scare on Sunday when he suddenly collapsed while attending an event in Villupuram, Tamil Nadu.

He was hospitalised immediately. According to his team, Vishal is now in stable condition.

Vishal faints at beauty pageant

The incident occurred during the Miss Koovagam Transgender Beauty Contest, where Vishal was present as the Chief Guest. Social media footage captured the actor's arrival at the event. As per *Times Now*, Vishal fainted while on stage. Former Tamil Nadu minister K. Ponmudy, also present, coordinated with the organisers to ensure Vishal was immediately transported to a hospital in Chennai.

On Monday, Vishal's team issued an update to clarify concerns. "We would like to clarify recent reports regarding Actor Vishal's health. During his appearance as Chief Guest at an event organised by the transgender community, #Vishal experienced a brief episode of fatigue and fainted.

It was later confirmed that he had skipped his regular meal that afternoon, having only consumed juice, which likely led to a drop in energy levels. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors conducted a thorough check-up," the statement said.

They added that there was no reason for alarm.

"Fortunately, there is no cause for concern. The medical team has confirmed that Vishal is in good health and has advised him to maintain regular meal timings going forward. He is currently doing well and recovering with rest," the statement concluded, thanking supporters for their concern.

This is not the first time Vishal's health has drawn attention. In January this year, he appeared visibly tired at another event, with video clips showing his hands trembling as he addressed the audience. At the time, his team attributed this to simple exhaustion.

Vishal began his career in Tamil cinema as an assistant director before gaining fame in films such as 'Sandakozhi', 'Thimiru', 'Thaamirabharani' and 'Malaikottai'. He later established his own production house. Most recently, he appeared in 'Madha Gaja Raja', a film shot in 2012 but finally released in January 2025.
