The couple, who tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Udaipur in March 2024, were welcomed with warmth and joy by the women and girls associated with the initiative.

The heartwarming video shows Taapsee and Mathias surrounded by young girls and women from the project, who performed a traditional ceremony commonly observed when a woman returns home after marriage. The couple was garlanded with marigold flowers and showered with fruits, sweets, and gifts as a gesture of affection.

In a voiceover, Taapsee reflected on the emotional significance of the visit. "Even though Mathias and me have been associated with these girls and their families for a long time, this was the first time we were meeting them after marriage. They did this beautiful tradition with us that takes place when a woman returns home after marriage. I am taking a lot of wishes back with me."

Taapsee has been a staunch supporter of the Nanhi Kali project, which works to educate underprivileged girls. She sponsors 100 girls through the program and has been involved for several years.

Taapsee and Mathias, a former badminton player from Denmark, had been in a relationship for over a decade before marrying. Their low-key wedding was attended by close friends and family.
