Suriya Turns Santa For Fans On Christmas 2024, Shares Pooja Hegde Starrer Retro's Teaser

Suriya has unveiled the title of his much awaited film 'Retro' directed by Karthik Subbaraj. On the auspicious occasion of Christmas, a teaser of he film was released. Retro' is a gangster drama featuring Pooja Hegde in the lead role alongside superstar Suriya. Celebrating Christmas 2024, Suriya shared the teaser of his 44th film with fans.

In a festive gesture, Suriya posted the teaser link on his official X handle, stating, "Merry Christmas to all. Retro is coming in the summer of 2025... See you soon....". Pooja Hegde also shared a sneak peek from her social media account, adding to the excitement.

Teaser Highlights

The teaser, lasting two minutes and five seconds, showcases Suriya and Pooja Hegde's characters by the Banaras Ghat. Pooja dons a light pink saree while Suriya wears a black kurta. In a heartfelt moment, Pooja ties a sacred thread on Suriya's hand. He then gazes into her eyes and expresses in Tamil his desire to change for love.

Suriya's character vows to control his anger and distance himself from violence and hooliganism. He declares that love is now his life's purpose and asks if they should marry. Pooja responds by kissing his forehead and agreeing. Social media users have warmly received the Retro teaser.

Suriya's Previous Work

Suriya's last appearance was in 'Kanguva', a Pan India film featuring Bobby Deol as the antagonist and Disha Patani as the female lead. Despite its large budget, 'Kanguva' failed to impress audiences and was a box office flop.

The anticipation for 'Retro' continues to build as fans eagerly await its release in summer 2025.
