Su From So Released on Jio Hotstar OTT in 3 Languages: Fans Notice 7-Minute Cut

The much-talked-about 'Su From So' movie has officially started streaming on Jio Hotstar OTT from today, September 9. Available in three languages, the film comes after a successful 45-day theatrical run, giving fans who missed it in cinemas a chance to watch it online. Many viewers are also expected to rewatch the film on OTT.

Originally released on July 25, the movie had special premiere shows four days prior to the official release. From the outset, 'Su From So' was praised for its strong performances and engaging storytelling. Positive word-of-mouth contributed significantly to its box office success, and similar enthusiasm is anticipated from the OTT audience, including viewers beyond the Kannada-speaking community.

One major discussion about the OTT release is the runtime difference. While the theatrical version ran for 2 hours 17 minutes, the Jio Hotstar released version shows a slightly shorter runtime of 2 hours 10 minutes. Fans have raised questions about whether certain scenes were cut. Many speculate that the reduction may be due to the omission of thank-you credits or minor sequences not included in the OTT version. The filmmakers are yet to officially clarify the reason for the shorter runtime.

'Su From So' has been produced by Raj B Shetty and directed by JP Tuminad. Raj B Shetty also plays the role of Guruji, while JP Tuminad takes on another prominent role. The cast further includes Prakash Tuminad, Deepak Rai Panaje, and others, who delivered strong performances that won appreciation during the theatrical run.
