'Stree 2' Box Office Collection Day 3: Shraddha Kapoor's Horror-Comedy Nears Rs 200 Crore Mark Globally

'Stree 2', the highly anticipated sequel to the 2018 horror-comedy 'Stree', was released in theatres on Thursday and has been met with positive reviews from both critics and audiences.

According to a report by Sacnilk.com, the film, starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, has grossed an impressive Rs 188 crore worldwide within its first three days of release.

This total includes Rs 163 crore from the domestic market in India and Rs 25 crore from overseas collections.

The film is on track to surpass the mammoth Rs 200 crore mark globally by Sunday.

Directed by Amar Kaushik and produced by Jio Studios and Dinesh Vijan, 'Stree 2' continues the story of Vicky, played by Rajkummar Rao, a tailor who becomes enamored with a mysterious woman, portrayed by Shraddha Kapoor.

Set in the town of Chanderi, the film follows the group of friends as they face off against the terrifying villain, 'Sarkata'.

The film also features Abhishek Banerjee, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aparshakti Khurana in crucial roles.

'Stree 2' is currently competing at the box office with two other major Bollywood releases: Akshay Kumar's 'Khel Khel Mein' and John Abraham's 'Vedaa', directed by Nikkhil Advani.
