Sonakshi Sinha Slams Media For 'Sensationalising' India-Pakistan Conflict: 'Our News Channels Are A Joke'
Tensions between India and Pakistan escalated on Thursday evening as the Indian Armed Forces intercepted drones and missiles directed at the country.
In response, actress Sonakshi Sinha offered prayers for the armed forces and the nation, while criticising the media for sensationalising the situation and inciting public panic.

Sonakshi denounces sensationalist media coverage
Late Thursday, Sonakshi shared a message on her Instagram stories, expressing solidarity with the armed forces and concern for the country.
She wrote, "Praying for our armed forces... Praying for India... Praying for every anxious Indian right now... Praying for the innocent who have fallen and will still fall... Praying for peace in this time of war. Jai Hind."
She also reposted a Ministry of Defence advisory, which urged the public and media to refrain from sharing real-time information on social platforms.
Criticising the exaggerated media coverage, she said, "Our news channels are a joke! I'm so done with these over-dramatised visuals and sound effects, the screaming and shouting! What are you all doing? Just do your job, report facts as they are. Stop sensationalising WAR and causing panic among people who are already anxious, for God's sake. People, please find a reliable news source and stick to it... stop watching this rubbish being passed off as news."
Celebrities praise Indian Armed Forces
Following the incidents on Thursday evening and into Friday morning, several public figures expressed their admiration for the Indian Armed Forces on social media. Among them were Anushka Sharma, Virat Kohli, Rashmika Mandanna, SS Rajamouli, Kangana Ranaut, Akhil Akkineni, Namrata Shirodkar, Ananya Panday, and Karan Johar. Like Sonakshi, filmmaker Rajamouli also urged the public not to record and share footage of military operations online, warning that such actions could potentially benefit the enemy.
