Shocking Video: Slipper Thrown At Tamil Star Vijay At DMDK's Vijayakanth's Funeral

In a shocking incident happened at the late actor-politician Vijayakanth's funeral. On Friday, an identified person hurled a slipper at Actor Vijay, who came to pay last respect to the DMDK legend at Island Ground. According to the reports, the DMDK president was scummed to pneumonia at the age of 71.

The video shows Vijay walking towards his vehicle amidst a gathering of fans at Vijayakanth's funeral site. Unexpectedly, an unidentified individual threw a slipper at Vijay, hitting his neck.

Despite the incident, Vijay continued walking forward without turning back, while his bodyguard attempted to clear a path for him.

The social media user captioned the video post stating: "Actor Vijay was subjected to an attack by unknown individuals at the Vijayakanth funeral site."

After the incident, social media was flooded with video clips of the shocking incident. Here's another video recorded at the spot from a different angle, in which, a fan can be seen throwing the slipper away after it rubbishes the Tamil superstar's neck.

The family members of Vijayakant, the founder of Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK), who passed away due to pneumonia on December 28, 2023, conducted the final rites on Friday. He was laid to rest with full state honors. In a heartfelt farewell to the beloved 'Captain,' large gatherings of Vijayakant supporters congregated on the streets of Coimbatore.

As per reports, Vijayakant was hospitalized on November 18 and required "pulmonary support," as stated by the medical facility. After nearly three weeks in the hospital, he was discharged merely a fortnight before his unfortunate demise.
