A pre-engagement trip to Udaipur taken by Siya Goyal with her lover Chetan Chaudhary weeks before her February engagement to Pune businessman Ketan Agarwal is now under police scrutiny in Maharashtra. Investigators are examining the travel history as part of a wider probe into the alleged murder of Ketan Agarwal at Lohagad Fort in Pune on June 18.

Ketan Agarwal, son of a wealthy businessman, was engaged to Siya Goyal in February. Police allege he was later pushed from a cliff at Lohagad Fort by Chetan Chaudhary with Siya's alleged involvement. The case is being investigated as a suspected conspiracy.

Udaipur trip under scanner

Police are focusing on the Udaipur trip taken by Siya Goyal with her lover Chetan Chaudhary as part of a group weeks before her engagement to Ketan Agarwal. Investigators are examining whether the visit is linked to the alleged conspiracy.

Officials are analysing travel records, call detail records and digital communications to map the early phase of their association.

Probe into relationship timeline

Sources said investigators are mapping the timeline of Siya Goyal and Chetan Chaudhary from the Udaipur trip up to the alleged murder.

Ketan and Siya had presented themselves as a couple in love on social media through posts, reels and stories. However, police are examining whether Siya continued her relationship with Chetan during the same period.

Allegations during questioning

According to police sources, Siya Goyal told investigators that she did not want to marry Ketan Agarwal.

Investigators claim she believed that if Ketan was removed she would have time to reconsider her future. They also said both Siya and Chetan feared social embarrassment if the engagement was called off.

Police are also probing allegations that Siya allegedly took around Rs 1 crore from Ketan under the pretext of shopping and handed it to Chetan Chaudhary.

Alleged conspiracy plan

Investigators believe Siya allegedly lured Ketan to Lohagad Fort on June 18. Chetan is suspected to have followed them to the location.

At a secluded point, Siya allegedly signalled Chetan and Ketan was pushed into a gorge.

Chetan allegedly left his phone at his workplace and used an employee's phone during travel. He also allegedly wore a hooded jacket to conceal his identity.

Attempt to pass off incident as accident

Police sources said Siya initially projected the incident as an accident. However, inconsistencies in her conduct raised suspicion among Ketan's family.

On June 21, Ketan's father and relatives visited the spot and concluded that an accidental fall was unlikely.
