Shobitha Shivanna Death: Famous Kannada Actress Dies Of Suicide

Kannada television and film actress Shobitha Shivanna has reportedly died by suicide in Hyderabad. She gained fame through the TV serial Brahmagantu. Reports indicate that Shobitha, originally from Sakleshpur in Hassan, died by suicide.

Known for her roles in films such as "Eradondla Mooru," "ATM," "Ondu Kathe Heluva," "Jackpot," "Apartment to Murder," and "Vandana," she also appeared in TV serials like "Brahmagantu" and "Ninnindale." Recently, Shobhita had been working in the Telgu film industry. Reports indicate that Shobhita Shivanna, who married last year, took her life in Hyderabad.

Shobitha, who had acted in the film First Day First Show, had reduced her involvement in movies after her marriage two years ago. She had been residing in Hyderabad since her wedding.

After completing her degree in Sakleshpur, Hassan, Shobhita moved to Bengaluru and participated in over 12 Kannada serials. Her work included shows like "Gaalipata," "Mangala Gowri," "Kogile," "Brahmagantu," "Krishna Rukmini," and "Deepavu Ninnade Gaaliyu Ninnade." In Kannada cinema, she acted alongside Chandan and Shweta Pandit in the film "Eradondla Mooru." Although she did not initially aspire to a career in television or films, her interest grew through dancing during her student years. Her persistent efforts led to opportunities as a TV presenter before transitioning into acting roles.

Shobhita maintained an active presence on social media, occasionally sharing posts to connect with fans.

On November 1st, she had extended wishes for Kannada Rajyotsava on Instagram: 'Happy Kannada Rajyotsava and Diwali festival wishes. Very soon 'First Day First Show' will be before you. A pure Kannada film with an entertaining storyline never seen before in the Kannada film industry, blessed by Mother Bhuvaneshwari and admired by millions of Kannadigas as a proud representation of our cinema.'

The reason behind her death remains unknown, but the incident is believed to have occurred on Saturday night (November 30). Just hours before the tragedy, Shobitha had shared a story on social media, making the news of her decision even more shocking.

Following her marriage, Shobitha had distanced herself from the entertainment industry. Her body is likely to be transported to Bengaluru after the post-mortem examination. Celebrities from both the film and television industries have expressed their condolences on her untimely demise.
