Shah Rukh Khan Injured On King Set During Action Scene, Flies To US For Treatment

Shah Rukh Khan, who is gearing up for his next big release King directed by Siddharth Anand, reportedly sustained an injury while filming an intense action sequence. According to Bollywood Hungama, the actor was shooting at the Golden Tobacco studio in Mumbai when the mishap occurred. As a result, he has been advised to rest for a month.

A source revealed that the exact nature of the injury hasn't been disclosed, but Shah Rukh, accompanied by his team, has flown to the United States for medical treatment. "It's not a serious injury, but a muscular one. Over the years, Shah Rukh has suffered multiple muscle injuries while performing stunts," the source added.

Filming for King began in May 2025, and it is regarded as one of the most anticipated films of 2026. Due to Shah Rukh's current condition, the next schedule of the film is expected to resume in either September or October. Earlier bookings for shooting at Film City, Golden Tobacco, and YRF Studios for July and August have now been cancelled until further notice.

The film boasts an impressive ensemble alongside Shah Rukh Khan, including Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukerji, Deepika Padukone, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal, Jaideep Ahlawat, Saurabh Shukla, and Suhana Khan.

Expected Release Date

Although the official release date hasn't been confirmed by the makers, King is reportedly scheduled for release on Gandhi Jayanti in 2026. However, with the recent delay in production, it remains to be seen whether the release timeline will be affected.
