'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' Movie Review: What's Good, What's Bad; Find Out

Nani has teamed up with Vivek for his latest movie 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram'. They had earlier worked in the rom-com 'Ante Sundaraniki'. The latest film has Priyanka Mohan in the female lead.

It has Tamil actor SJ Suryah as the villain. Abhirami, Aditi Balan, Sai Kumar, Murali Sharma, Ajay, Supreeth and others in the cast. The Telugu flick has Jakes Bejoy's music, Murali G's music and Karthika Srinivas' editing.

The story follows Surya, a man struggling with anger issues who has taken on the role of a vigilante, delivering justice but only on Saturdays, as per a promise made to his mother. His path soon collides with that of a ruthless policeman, leading to intense confrontations.

What follows next should be watched in theatres.

Venky Reviews: #SaripodhaaSanivaaram is a satisfactory action drama that had moments of excellence but at the same time had moments where the film was too dragged out and predictable.

The introduction block, interval block, climax block, and few confrontation scenes between Nani and SJ Surya worked out very well. However, the flat narration in between and the routine/predictability of the screenplay affected the film's flow which also made it feel too lengthy.

The characterizations are the mainstay of the film. SJ Surya's character stands out and he was excellent. Nani does well in a role that is a walk in the park for him. BGM works well in action scenes.

Despite some of the flaws, the film can be given a try and ends up as an alright timepass watch!

Vivek Athreya comes out of his typical zone this time as the film is not light hearted and doesn't have much entertainment. He focused more on delivering a savior type action drama which he was only able to succeed in parts. A racy narration and a more unique screenplay would've taken the movie further

Passable 1st Half!

The introduction sequence justifying the title came out well along with a few SJ Suryas scenes and the interval block. However, the middle portions feel dragged out so far and run in a flat way. Sets up well for the 2nd half!

And now coming to the story and screenplay I understand everyone says its too lengthy, but those are very minor flaws,
the CINEMA speaks a lot with the action scenes and music and their screen presence!

I understand a close to 3-hour film might look lengthy however the story demands it, but considering those action scenes, along with the banger background music makes it a major plus. @NameisNani, #SJSuryah and #Athreya everyone delivered the best to make those moments stand out. Rohit Venkataraman: #SaripodhaSanivaaram, it's after #Oppenheimer that I had sat for a film without an intermission & unlike Odeon or Cineworld, showcase cinemas went full on without an interval. Audiences surely need a 15 - 20 minute break when the duration is more than 150 minutes.
