'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' 1st Day Box Office Collection: Opens Well In AP; Decent Start In Bengaluru, Chennai
Nani's much-awaited movie 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' opened to fairly positive reviews after its release on Thursday, with the Telugu version performing well at the box office across multiple regions on day one. The movie was released in several languages, and the occupancy rates for the Telugu shows on day one indicate a good start, particularly in the southern markets.
Telugu Version Performance

The overall occupancy rates for the Telugu version varied throughout the day, reflecting growing interest as the day progressed. The morning shows saw an occupancy rate of 45.77%, which slightly dipped during the afternoon to 44.74%. However, the evening shows experienced a noticeable increase with 54.35%, and the night shows peaked at 69.30%. Hyderabad led with the highest number of shows, followed by Bengaluru, indicating a strong regional preference.
Key Regional Occupancy Rates
Hyderabad emerged as the top performer with an overall occupancy rate of 61.75%. The night shows in Hyderabad were especially popular, reaching 78% occupancy across 615 shows.
Bengaluru had a more modest performance with an overall rate of 31.25%, peaking at 47% during the night shows across 391 screenings.
Chennai showed a stronger preference in the evening, with an impressive 64% occupancy, bringing the overall rate to 47.50%.
Vijayawada and Warangal showed consistent enthusiasm throughout the day, with occupancy rates of 65% and 67%, respectively. Guntur outperformed both with a 77.50% overall occupancy, especially during the night shows, which saw a high of 91%.
Other regions like Vizag-Visakhapatnam and Karimnagar also showed robust performances, with overall occupancy rates of 68.25% and 63.75%, respectively.
Comparisons with Tamil and Malayalam Versions
While the Telugu version dominated, the Tamil version of the movie, titled 'Surya's Saturday', had a less enthusiastic reception, with an overall occupancy of just 15.16% on Thursday. The Malayalam version performed better with an occupancy rate of 39.00%, indicating a moderate interest in the Kerala region.
Day 1 Box Office Collection
The combined collection from all language versions stood at Rs 8.75 crore on the first day. Despite the lukewarm reception of the Tamil version, the strong performance of the Telugu version, particularly in key regions like Hyderabad, Vijayawada, and Guntur, contributed significantly to the overall collection.
The movie's release in multiple languages allowed it to reach a diverse audience, though the Telugu version clearly led the way in terms of both occupancy and box office collections. With positive word-of-mouth and growing interest, 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' is poised to continue its strong performance in the coming days.
