Samantha Wasn't Naga Chaitanya's First Wife? Then Who!

Despite moving on in their lives after the divorce, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya continue to hit headlines.

Now, an old statement of Samantha about Chaitanya has garnered attention as she claimed that she is not her first wife.

In a 2019 interview, Samantha is heard saying, "The pillows is the first wife of Chaitanya. Even if I have to kiss, the pillow is always between us. And now it's enough, I guess I have said a lot of things,"

Samantha and Chaitanya tied the knot in October 2017 with two wedding ceremonies - one traditional South Indian and the other Christian. However, in 2021, the couple announced their separation.

Both actors have since moved on. In December 2024, Chaitanya married Sobhita Dhulipala, while Samantha is reportedly in a relationship with filmmaker Raj Nidimoru.

Meanwhile, Naga Chaitanya, during the promotional interview of his recently-released Thandel, opened up on the social media crticisim after he married Sobitha. He said, "More than me, I feel bad for her. She doesn't deserve this. There's no fault of hers in this. She came into my life in a very organic and beautiful way. We connected through social media, met casually, and became friends before our relationship developed. She was never a part of my past, and it's unfair for people to drag her into it."

On his divorce from Samantha, Chaitanya stated, "I come from a broken family, so I don't take relationships lightly. I will think a thousand times before making such a decision. Our divorce wasn't impulsive-it was mutual, and we both understood it was for the best. Of course, I feel bad that it happened, but I believe everything happens for a reason."
