Salman Khan Firing case: Bishnoi Paid Rs 20 lakh To 6 Accused To Assassinate The Actor
In a major development in the Salman Khan house firing case, a recent chargesheet has disclosed that gangster Lawrence Bishnoi allegedly paid Rs 20 lakh to six individuals to assassinate the Bollywood star.
The attack took place on April 14 2024, when two gunmen on a motorcycle fired shots at Khan's sea-facing residence in Galaxy Apartments, Bandra. Fortunately, Khan was unharmed, but the absence of constables despite his 'Y' category protection has raised serious security concerns.

The Mumbai crime branch's chargesheet reveals that Bishnoi's gang issued a Rs 20 lakh contract for Salman Khan's assassination. The attack occurred in the early hours of April 14, with gunshots fired outside Khan's home. The investigation has led to multiple arrests as authorities work to uncover the full conspiracy. Anmol Bishnoi, Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, publicly claimed responsibility for the attack in a Facebook post.
Non-bailable warrants for key suspects
A special court in Mumbai has issued non-bailable warrants for Anmol Bishnoi and Rohit Godera, an alleged member of Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Both suspects have been on the run since being named in the chargesheet. On July 27, 2024, special judge B.D. Shelke, who handles cases under the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA), issued these warrants to apprehend the fugitives and bring them to justice.
Among those arrested are Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Pal, 35, identified as the shooters. Gupta confessed to riding the motorcycle during the attack and cited financial difficulties as his motivation. He expressed regret for his actions: "I felt I wouldn't get caught by the police but got arrested all the same." His confession has provided crucial insights into both the motive behind the attack and its operational aspects.
Ongoing investigation and security concerns
The investigation into Salman Khan's house firing case continues as authorities aim to unravel the full scope of the conspiracy and hold all involved parties accountable. This incident has highlighted significant lapses in security measures for high-profile individuals, prompting a review of their protection protocols. Law enforcement agencies remain dedicated to ensuring justice and addressing these emerging security concerns.
The attack was reportedly coordinated by Lawrence Bishnoi's gang. Anmol Bishnoi publicly took responsibility for it through a Facebook post. The authorities are piecing together details from various arrests made during this investigation.
