Salman Khan Battled Physical And Mental Illness Amid Sikandar: Reveals Co-Star Vishal Vashishtha

While fans saw Salman Khan in action in Sikandar, few knew the superstar was battling one of the most difficult phases of his life off-screen. During the film's shoot, Salman was coping with the heartbreaking loss of his close friend and politician Baba Siddique, ongoing security threats, and a painful rib injury.

'He Was In Pain But Kept Going'

Salman's co-star Vishal Vashishtha recently opened up about the actor's condition during filming. Speaking to Free Press Journal, Vishal revealed that Salman was emotionally drained and physically struggling but never stopped showing up for work.

"He would walk slowly and somehow finish the scene. As soon as the director called cut, he would go for physiotherapy. He was in pain, yet he kept going," Vishal shared.

Even Simple Movements Were Difficult

According to Vishal, the injury made everyday movements challenging for Salman. The actor reportedly found it difficult to even sit down or get up from a chair during certain scenes. As a result, the film's action sequences were pushed to a later schedule to give him time to recover.

Despite the discomfort, Salman continued reporting to the set every day, earning the respect of the cast and crew.

Baba Siddique's Murder Shocked Salman

In October 2024, Baba Siddique, 66, was shot dead outside his son Zeeshan Siddique's office in Mumbai's Bandra East. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital but succumbed to two gunshot wounds to the chest.

Reports linked the accused to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang, which has previously threatened Salman Khan over the blackbuck hunting case.

Security Threats Added To The Pressure

Following Baba Siddique's murder, Salman reportedly received fresh death threats and was provided with Y+ security cover. Amid constant security concerns and ongoing recovery from his rib injury, the actor continued shooting for Sikandar.

Vishal's revelations offer a glimpse into the challenges Salman faced behind the cameras, proving that the superstar's journey during Sikandar was far more difficult than fans may have realized.
