'Salaar' 1st Day Box Office Collection: The Movie Gets Gigantic Opening In Andhra, Kerala, Karnataka
Despite starting the advance booking late, Prabhas and Shruti Haasan's much-hyped 'Salaar' has got a gigantic opening at the worldwide box office. The fans overlooked the average response for the two trailers and thronged into theatres in big numbers to give a solid start.
'Salaar' Roars In Andhra And Nizam Box Office
The newly-released movie has got an earth-shattering opening in its stronghold of Andhra and Nizam. At least on 20 screens, the movie had 1 am shows and in the majority of the screens across the Telugu-speaking states had at least five shows on day one.

Both the Andhra and Telangana governments granted permission to increase the ticket price for a stipulated time. The Telangana Government has granted approval for an increase in ticket prices for 'Salaar'. From December 22nd to 28th, the permitted hike is Rs 65 for single screens and Rs 100 for multiplexes in the state.
It means the maximum ticket price in Telangana's single screens may reach Rs 253, and in multiplexes, it could be up to Rs 413, with an additional service charge for online bookings.
On the other hand, the Andhra government has allowed the exhibitors to raise the ticket price up to Rs 40. So, the maximum ticket price for single screens could be up to Rs 194.7 and multiplexes Rs 224.2, while online booking will have an extra service charge.
The early estimation coming from the trade claims that 'Salaar' has minted around Rs 65+ crore from Andhra and Telangana box office. This makes it the biggest opener of Prabhas in this region.
First-Day Box Office Collection In Karnataka/Kerala
The film has raked in big numbers from Karnataka where it was released in Kannada as well as Telugu and Hindi languages. The early estimation claims that the film has earned over Rs 12 crore. Whereas in Kerala, the movie has collected around Rs 4 crore.
'Salaar' South India Collection
From South India alone, the multilingual flick has amassed Rs 81 crore. However, the much-hyped flick has raked in around Rs 15 crore from the Hindi belt to take the India collection to Rs 96 crore.
Coming to the overseas market, the multilingual movie has earned over Rs 30 crore from North America with other centres contributing around R 20 crore. The Prabhas film has made a collection of Rs 50 crore from the international box office.
The estimated worldwide collection of 'Salaar' stands at Rs 146 crore.
