Mohit Suri's romantic musical drama Saiyaara, featuring debutants Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda, has become a massive box office hit since its release on July 18. The film made a stellar opening with ₹21 crore on day one and has collected ₹83 crore in its opening weekend. Following its theatrical success, the much-anticipated OTT release of Saiyaara is now in focus.

According to industry reports, Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights for Saiyaara. Although an official OTT release date is yet to be confirmed, the film is expected to premiere on Netflix around late September or early October - roughly eight weeks after its theatrical release.

Box Office Collection: Saiyaara Surpasses Expectations

With ₹37 crore net collection on its third day, Saiyaara has proven to be one of the biggest romantic drama openers of the year. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared on X (formerly Twitter):

"Saiyaara is achieving the UNIMAGINABLE... The film is in rampage mode - not just in metros, but in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities as well. Midnight shows are being added to meet the overwhelming demand."

Adarsh gave the film a glowing 4.5-star review.

Director Mohit Suri initially developed Saiyaara as a potential concept for Aashiqui 3 in collaboration with Bhushan Kumar and Mukesh Bhatt. Due to creative differences and a rushed announcement timeline, the project evolved into Saiyaara, allowing Suri to follow his preferred process - script first, announcement later.
