Rukmini Vasanth's Bikini Video: Is It Real or Fake? Actress Breaks Silence

For over 24 hours now, internet has been abuzz with the viral video of actress Rukmini Vasanth's alleged bikini video.

It was speculated that the video was taken from her first bikini shoot. Now, there is clarification straight from the horse's mouth.

However, in a statement posted on X, Vasanth dismissed the claims, saying: "My team and I have come across certain AI-generated images being circulated online claiming to be me. I want to state clearly that these images are entirely fake and fabricated."

She condemned the creation and distribution of manipulated content, describing it as "deeply irresponsible and a serious violation of privacy." The actress confirmed that legal and cybercrime action is being initiated against those responsible, urging the public not to share or engage with such material.

The incident highlights the growing problem of deepfake and AI-manipulated content targeting celebrities. Several leading actresses, including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt and Rashmika Mandanna, have previously been victims of similar online fabrications.

Vasanth has earlier voiced support for fellow actress Sapthami Gowda, who criticised paparazzi for capturing female actors from inappropriate angles at public events. Gowda's remarks, shared on Instagram, called for professionalism and respect, stressing that women in the industry should be recognised for their craft rather than objectified.

Rukmini Vasanth, who works across Kannada, Tamil and Telugu cinema, made her debut with Birbal in 2019. She rose to prominence with Sapta Saagaradaache Ello in 2023, winning the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress - Kannada. Her performance in Kantara: Chapter 1 in 2025 was widely acclaimed, with the film becoming her biggest commercial success. She is next set to appear in Toxic alongside Yash and Dragon with Junior NTR.
