Rs 40 Lakh Fraud Allegations Against Palash Muchhal: What Really Happened In The Sangli Case?

Palash Muchhal, a Music composer and filmmaker, has publicly denied the allegations made against him by Sangli based Actor and Producer Vidnyan Mane, who claims that Palash cheated him out of Rs 40 Lakhs.

Palash has vehemently denied these allegations as completely false. He has stated on his Instagram Stories on Friday that the allegations made against him are completely unfounded and misleading, and therefore, he will be taking legal action against those making these allegations.

In a statement made by Palash, he stated that these allegations were intended to be malicious towards him. He stated that these accusations being spread on social media are false and without basis.

Palash added that he will not stay silent on the matter. He said his lawyer, Shreyansh Mithare, is looking into the issue and will take the matter forward through proper legal channels. According to Palash, the case will be handled strictly as per the law.

What Are the Allegations?

According to a report by news agency PTI, Vidnyan Mane, a 34-year-old actor and producer, approached the police in Maharashtra's Sangli district with a complaint against Palash. Vidnyan alleged that Palash cheated him of Rs 40 lakh.

However, no FIR has been registered so far.

As per the complaint, Palash and Vidnyan met in Sangli on December 5, 2023. Vidnyan claimed he showed interest in investing money in film production.

Palash allegedly suggested that Vidnyan invest in his upcoming film, Nazaria, as a producer.

Money Paid, Project Not Completed

Vidnyan alleged that Palash promised him a profit of Rs 12 lakh on an investment of Rs 25 lakh after the film's release on OTT platforms. He also claimed that Palash offered him a role in the film.

According to the complaint, the two met several times, and Vidnyan reportedly paid a total of Rs 40 lakh to Palash by March 2025. However, the project was not completed. When Vidnyan asked for his money back, he allegedly received no response.

Following this, Vidnyan approached the Sangli police. Officials said a preliminary inquiry is currently underway to look into the matter.
