Rohit Bals Health Update: Fashion Designers Condition Is Critical

A hospital source said, "Bal experienced acute chest pain, after which he was rushed to the hospital, where doctors carried out some tests and diagnosed that he is suffering from dilated cardiomyopathy." This is a state where the heart muscle undergoes weakening and enlargement, leading to an inability to pump sufficient blood throughout the body. Doctors say that dilated cardiomyopathy may stem from various underlying conditions.

A friend of Bal, receiving updates from his family, noted that on Monday evening, his health deteriorated, and he was placed on a ventilator as his heart condition worsened.

For related health complications, the fashion designer was treated in Medanta in November 2022. In 2010, Bal underwent an angioplasty after he suffered a heart attack.

Bal is renowned for his distinctive lotus and peacock motifs, as well as his promotion for Kashmiri craftsmanship and textiles. Despite his history of orchestrating extravagant fashion shows and infusing flair onto the runway, he has been absent from public events for the past year due to declining health.
