Rishab Shetty Wraps Up Kantara 2 Shoot, Releases Making Video - Watch

After facing a lot of hurdles and troubles, the shooting of Rishab Shetty's much-awaited movie Kantara 2 has been completed, the makers announced with a promotional video on Monday.

In a post on X, the makers wrote, "Wrap Up... The Journey Begins" and shared a clip giving a glimpse into the making.

The production house says that the movie, titled Kantara Chapter 1, has been a divine journey, deeply rooted in "our culture, brought to life with unwavering dedication, relentless hard work, and incredible team spirit." It is also confirmed that the movie will hit the screens on October 2.

The filmmaker shares the journey of pursuing a deeply personal dream - to tell the story of his homeland and its people to the entire world. He recounts the extensive effort and dedication involved in bringing this vision to life, highlighting the challenges faced over three years, including 250 days of shooting and numerous hardships.

Despite the difficulties, the filmmaker emphasizes unwavering faith and the support of a committed team and producers who stood firmly behind the project. The experience of daily shooting before thousands of people was both overwhelming and humbling, reinforcing the significance of the work beyond just being a movie. The filmmaker expresses sincere gratitude to everyone who contributed to making the dream a reality and warmly welcomes the audience to the world of their creation, invoking a sense of collective pride and cultural celebration.

Shetty said, "I've got a dream, a story from our land that the whole world needs to hear. Our village, our people, our story. When I shared this dream and started chasing it, thousands stood behind me. Three years of hard work, 250 days of shooting. No matter the struggles, the divine power I believed in never let go of my hand. My entire team, my producers, they had my back. Every day on set, seeing thousands of people, the one thing that kept hitting me was this: this is more than just a movie-it's a divine force. So, thank you, thank you all so much [applause]. The shooting commenced in November 2023. The first look and teaser was released on 27 November 2023. However, the movie has faced one or the other issue. Several deaths on the sets and the controversy over filming in the forest area in Gavigudda were a cause of worry to the crew. However, the team has managed to complete the shoot successfully.

Rishab Shetty plays the role of a Naga Sadhu with superhuman powers. The film has B Ajaneesh Loknath's music. The first part of the movie had become a sleeper hit.
