Rashmika Mandanna Donates Rs 10 Lakh For Kerala Flood Relief

In a commendable act of generosity, Rashmika Mandanna, originally from Kodagu in Karnataka, has stepped forward to assist Wayanad, which has been devastated by landslides.

Rashmika has donated Rs 10 lakh for flood relief, making her one of the first actresses to offer financial support to the affected state.

Earlier, Chiyaan Vikram announced a ₹20 lakh donation to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund to aid ongoing rescue and relief efforts. This contribution was revealed by Vikram's manager, Yuvraj, and received widespread acclaim from fans and the public.

As rescue operations continue, the death toll from the landslides has risen to 285. Healthcare professionals are working around the clock in Wayanad, providing critical care to injured survivors and performing autopsies on the victims.

Massive landslides triggered by torrential rains hit Mundakkai, Chooralmala, Attamala, and Noolpuzha hamlets in the early hours of Tuesday.

State Health Minister Veena George said that by 7 am today, 256 autopsies had been completed, including both full bodies and body parts. Of these, 154 bodies have been handed over to the district administration. These autopsies were conducted on bodies recovered from the Pothukal area in Malappuram district.

Meanwhile, Congress leader and former Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are in Kerala on Thursday to visit various relief camps set up in the landslides-hit areas of Wayanad distrct.
