Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding his exit from Don 3, Bollywood star Ranveer Singh has reportedly decided to remain silent on the issue for the next 18 months.

According to reports, the actor will not speak to journalists or give interviews until the release of his upcoming film, Pralay, directed by Jai Mehta.

Trade Journalist Shares What Ranveer Said

A trade journalist, quoted by the Free Press Journal, claimed to have met Ranveer personally. Recalling the conversation, the journalist said, "I met him personally," and added that the actor made it clear he would neither discuss the Don 3 controversy nor participate in media interviews for at least the next 18 months.

What Led To The Don 3 Exit?

The fallout between Ranveer Singh and filmmaker Farhan Akhtar has become one of Bollywood's biggest talking points. While neither side has publicly detailed the reasons behind the split, multiple reports suggest that Singh walked away from Don 3 due to creative differences with the makers.

Reports also claimed that the actor was unhappy with repeated delays in the film's production and the fact that a final version of the script had reportedly not been locked.

From Casting Change To Legal Dispute

What initially looked like a routine casting change soon turned into a much bigger issue. According to reports, Farhan Akhtar's production house, Excel Entertainment, has demanded Rs 45 crore in compensation from Ranveer Singh following his exit from the project.

The controversy intensified further when the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor. However, that directive has now been revoked.

Ranveer's Next Big Film: Pralay

While the Don 3 drama continues to grab headlines, Ranveer is reportedly concentrating on Pralay, a post-apocalyptic zombie thriller set in a devastated version of Mumbai.
The film is expected to showcase a crumbling, decayed city using AI-driven visual technology, making it one of the more ambitious projects currently in development.

Pralay will be directed by Jai Mehta, son of acclaimed filmmaker Hansal Mehta. The film marks Jai's theatrical directorial debut. He previously co-directed Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Lootere, earning praise for his grounded and realistic storytelling style.

The project is being co-produced by Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair's Applause Entertainment. Reports suggest that the script has been finalized and filming is likely to begin soon.

For now, Ranveer Singh appears determined to stay away from public discussions about Don 3 and keep his focus firmly on bringing Pralay to audiences.
