When Karan asked the couple about the point in their relationship where they realised they were officially together, Ranveer shared, "We would go out on dates. It's not explicitly said, but once you take a holiday together and spend New Year's together, it gets established that you are together. There were two or three suitors in the first six months. A lot of guys were courting her."

Deepika inquired about these suitors, to which Ranveer responded with some annoyance, saying, "You just mentioned I was seeing other people but I would go back to him. Don't you remember?" Deepika replied, "I can't remember the people." Ranveer, with a hint of exasperation, said, "I remember very clearly."
