Ramya’s Brutal Dhurandhar 2 Review: ‘Don’t Waste Your Money’, Mocks Ranveer Singh's Performance

Former Congress IT Cell head and actress Ramya has unleashed a scathing review of Ranveer Singh's latest film Dhurandhar 2, and her brutally sarcastic take is now doing the rounds on social media.

Taking to X after watching the film, Ramya did not hold back even a little. In a long and blistering post, she described Dhurandhar 2 as an exhausting cinematic experience, mocking everything from the film's direction and dialogues to its editing, background score and performances.

Ramya said watching the film felt like sitting through a painfully boring textbook with endless chapters, so dull that the mind eventually "gives up and starts laughing out of sheer despair". In perhaps her sharpest advice to moviegoers, she urged audiences not to spend their money on a theatre ticket, suggesting that the film is the kind of content best watched on a streaming platform where "escape is just a click away".

Her review instantly grabbed attention because it was not merely a thumbs-down verdict. It was a full-scale roasting.

The actress also took direct aim at Ranveer Singh, who headlines the Aditya Dhar directorial. While many online have credited Ranveer for carrying the film, Ramya turned that argument on its head with a cutting swipe. "What exactly is he carrying?" she wrote, before joking that all she could really notice was his hair. In a line that has quickly caught her followers' attention, she quipped that Ranveer's hair looked more deserving of a supporting role nomination than anything else in the film.

Ramya contrasted the sequel with the first Dhurandhar film, claiming the original had audiences cheering, clapping and fully invested in the action. This time, however, she said the energy was missing and that the atmosphere inside the theatre was one of collective disappointment.

But Ramya reserved some of her strongest criticism for the film's stylised violence. She accused Dhurandhar 2 of turning into a bizarre catalogue of weaponised objects, from syringes and spanners to machetes, chains, bombs and bazookas. According to her, the violence becomes so over-the-top that it stops being shocking and starts feeling unintentionally hilarious.

She also mocked the film's logic, pointing to scenes in which characters continue delivering dialogues after suffering absurdly extreme injuries. Her sarcastic punchline: forget the Oscars, this kind of miracle belongs in the Nobel Prize category.

Ramya ended her post by calling Dhurandhar 2 a "huge disappointment" and a "snoozefest/comedy at best". She also had a message for both star and director, saying Ranveer is capable of far better, while telling Aditya Dhar that "jingoism and propaganda" are outdated and need to be left behind.

Her comments come even as Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has opened strongly at the box office on March 19, with several reports describing a massive opening despite show cancellations in some places and heated debate online over its content and political messaging.
