Rakesh Poojary Death: Video of Comedy Khiladigalu Fame Holding Chest While Dancing Goes Viral
Popular Kannada TV comedian and Comedy Khiladigalu winner Rakesh Poojary passed away at the age of 34 after suffering a sudden heart attack. The tragic incident took place on May 12, 2025, during a relative's mehandi function in Miyar, Karkala taluk, Udupi district.
Collapsed While Dancing at Pre-wedding Celebration
Rakesh was in high spirits at the event, dancing energetically and celebrating with family and friends. But moments later, he complained of uneasiness, held his chest, and collapsed. A video showing his final moments-dancing, then suddenly clutching his chest-has gone viral on social media, leaving fans shocked and heartbroken.

Despite efforts to take him to the hospital, he is said to have passed away en route. Doctors confirmed he suffered a severe cardiac arrest. Rakesh had no known serious health issues, and his sudden demise has stunned fans and colleagues alike.
Rakesh rose to fame with his performance on Comedy Khiladigalu, where he emerged as a winner. He later appeared in various TV serials and films, steadily gaining popularity. His passion for acting started with theatre and eventually led him to Kannada and Tulu cinema.
Tributes have poured in from across the industry. Actress Rachita Ram shared an emotional post: "I'll never be able to talk to you again, my boy," expressing the grief many feel at the sudden loss of a bright and beloved performer.
Rakesh is survived by his mother and sister.
