Meanwhile, controversy has arisen over the portrayal of Kshatriyas in the film.
Rajput leader Raj Shekhawat threatened the producers of 'Pushpa 2: The Rule' on Sunday, claiming that the film insulted the Kshatriya community.
In a post on X, he demanded the removal of the term 'Shekhawat' from the movie, accusing the film of presenting the Shekhawat community in a negative light. He further stated in a video, "The movie has done grave insult to Kshatriyas. The Shekhawat community has been presented in a poor light. The makers of the movie should remove the continuous use of Shekhawat word from the movie, or else, the Karni Sena will thrash them inside their house and will go to any limits as required."
Fahadh Faasil plays a police officer named Bhanwar Singh Shekawat in the film, who is constantly outwitted by Pushpa Raj, portrayed by Allu Arjun.
The story picks up from where 'Pushpa: The Rise' left off, with Bhanwar vowing to bring Pushpa down by any means necessary.
