In a candid interview with News18, Priyamani addressed the elephant in the room-pay disparity in the industry. "It is true. But that's okay," she said with characteristic calm. "There have been times when I was paid less than my male co-star. It does not bother me, though. I know my market value and my worth. I will charge what I believe I deserve."

Her grounded take on the issue reflects a growing sentiment among female actors who are choosing to own their value rather than chase parity for parity's sake.

Priyamani also offered a behind-the-scenes peek into the cultural contrast between Bollywood and South Indian film industries, especially when it comes to punctuality. "In the South, they generally start on time. When we say 8, we actually start at 8. Here [in the North], I've noticed that when you say 8, people arrive at that point of time," she quipped.
