'Plastic Has Ruined Aishwarya Rai's Timeless Beauty': Tamil Actress Kasturi

Even as netizens are trolling Aishwarya Rai Bachchan over her looks in the ongoing Cannes Film Festival, Tamil actress Kasturi Shankar has said that "time does not spare even the world's most beautiful women."

In a post on X, Kasturi posted a picture of Aishwarya from Cannes and said, "Time. Time doesn't spare even the world's most beautiful women. Aishwarya Rai didn't need to turn the clock back. She would have remained beautiful. But plastic has ruined her timeless beauty."

Although Aishwarya has never confirmed undergoing any cosmetic procedures, there is speculation among people that she has received Botox injections to smoothen her wrinkles.

Last year, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was trolled for her appearance at Paris Fashion Week. While her ethereal golden gown received praise, many questioned her facial appearance. As photos and videos circulated online, speculation arose about whether she had undergone Botox treatments.

"True that that age looks makes women's beauty naturally not plastic or over makeup. According to me my mom is most beautiful woman (age 66)," one user responded to Kasturi's post.

The second user said, "true, contrarily sushmita sen aged well sans all these plastic cosmetics!" However, Kasturi said "Sush was a plastic pioneer."

The third netizen stated, "what happens to these heroines after a certain age? what is the need to resort to botox kind of treatments? aging with wrinkles is much much more graceful than this kind of plasticity."

Another user praised Kasturi for ageing gracefully. "So tragic. In comparison, you've managed to age very gracefully like fine wine. Sadly, most women prefer the easy route of plastic surgery than being hawkish with their diet & fitness."

Responding to his post, Kasturi commented, "I am stubbornly real. No hairdye No botox No make up except lipstick No soap or shampoo."

Aishwarya attended the premiere of Francis Ford Coppola's 'Megalopolis' on Thursday, wearing a black and gold Falguni and Shane Peacock gown. The gown featured stiff fabric, puffy white sleeves, and a long cape adorned with 'velcro-ed' golden flowers. The bodice was embellished with golden foil details. While Aishwarya described the outfit as 'magical', fans found it too bulky, overly dramatic, and ultimately disappointing.
