Peddi Box Office Collection: Ram Charan-Starrer Set For A Grand Opening

Ram Charan's much-awaited sports action drama Peddi has registered a strong start at the box office even before its theatrical release on June 4. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film has generated significant buzz among audiences, translating into impressive advance booking numbers across key Telugu-speaking markets.

According to the latest pre-sales data, Peddi has grossed ₹9.82 crore from advance bookings across India, with more than 4.08 lakh tickets sold for its opening day. The film has recorded bookings across 8,414 shows, indicating a massive release scale.

Talking about the pre sales, industry tracker Ramesh Bala wrote, "Advance bookings are turning into a full-blown festival for #Peddi 💥🔥

Premiere shows are selling out within minutes, with extra shows being added across centres to meet the massive demand ❤️‍🔥"

He predicted that Ram Charan is set to get his biggest opener in Peddi. He added, "All signs point towards a career-best opening for Mega Power Star,"

The advance sales are overwhelmingly driven by the Telugu version, which alone has contributed ₹9.49 crore from regular 2D screenings. More than 3.90 lakh tickets have been sold in Telugu, accounting for nearly the entire advance booking revenue. Premium formats such as Dolby Cinema and EPIQ have also witnessed encouraging demand.

Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Lead the Charge

As expected, the Telugu states are powering the film's advance sales. Andhra Pradesh has emerged as the biggest contributor with a gross collection of ₹5.8 crore, while Telangana follows closely with ₹2.64 crore.

The occupancy levels in both states are particularly encouraging. Andhra Pradesh has recorded a real occupancy of 33% across 2,184 shows, with 476 shows already nearing full capacity. Telangana has registered 29% occupancy across 1,115 shows, with 155 shows almost sold out and another 90 filling rapidly.

Together, the two states account for nearly 86% of the film's nationwide advance booking revenue, underlining Ram Charan's massive box-office pull in the Telugu market.

Karnataka and Tamil Nadu Show Promise

Outside the Telugu states, Karnataka has emerged as the strongest market with advance sales of ₹73.53 lakh, aided by strong interest from Telugu-speaking audiences in Bengaluru and other cities.

Tamil Nadu has contributed ₹21.58 lakh, while Odisha has posted a respectable ₹15.12 lakh. Maharashtra, despite a wide release, has generated nearly ₹9 lakh in pre-sales.

The Hindi version has also shown early traction, collecting ₹17.08 lakh through the sale of over 10,000 tickets. While these numbers remain modest compared to the Telugu version, they could improve closer to release.

Positive Signs for Opening Day

The advance booking trends indicate that Peddi is heading towards a strong opening day, particularly in the Telugu-speaking regions. With more than 630 shows already categorised as "almost full" and several others filling quickly, trade analysts expect a surge in last-minute bookings on release day.

Featuring Ram Charan in the lead role alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu and Boman Irani, Peddi appears poised for a bumper opening. If current trends continue, the film could comfortably cross the ₹15-20 crore mark on its first day in India, with final numbers depending on spot bookings and audience reception.
