From Legal Trouble to Spiritual Seeking

Pavithra Gowda made national headlines last year due to her alleged involvement in the Renuka Swamy murder case. According to reports, Renuka Swamy, a resident of Chitradurga, had been sending inappropriate messages, photos, and videos to Pavithra Gowda on social media. This led to a violent turn of events when a group allegedly abducted, assaulted, and later disposed of his body in a culvert in Bengaluru.

Pavithra Gowda has been named Accused No. 1, while actor Darshan is Accused No. 2 in the case. The police have implicated a total of 17 individuals in the crime. Pavithra was granted bail in November 2024 after spending time in Parappana Agrahara jail.

Who Is Pavithra Gowda?

Besides her legal troubles, Pavithra Gowda has had a career in Kannada cinema, featuring in films like Chatrigalu Sir Chatrigalu and Bathaas.

Her name has often been linked with Darshan, with rumours about their alleged affair making rounds as early as 2015. In 2017, a display photo featuring the two on her Twitter and Facebook accounts had sparked controversy, leading her to take it down after backlash from Darshan's fans.

In November 2023, she posted a video from her daughter Khushi's birthday celebration, where Darshan was seen cutting the cake and dancing with them, further fueling speculation about their relationship.

New Beginning

With her recent visit to the Kumbh Mela, Pavithra Gowda appears to be seeking solace in spirituality. Whether this is an attempt at a fresh start or a way to cope with ongoing challenges remains uncertain. However, her presence at the grand religious event and her social media comeback suggest she is determined to move forward, despite the controversies surrounding her name.
