Patriot 1st Day Box Office Collection: The much-anticipated multi-starrer Patriot, headlined by Malayalam cinema heavyweights Mohanlal and Mammootty, has opened to an impressive response at the box office, registering a strong Day 1 performance across India and overseas markets.

The film, which hit theatres on Friday, recorded a solid India net collection of ₹9.80 crore from 2,636 shows, translating to an overall occupancy of 66%. Including taxes, the India gross stands at ₹11.37 crore. Cities like Kochi and Kozhikode reported phenomenal occupancies of 91.8%, with several shows running housefull. Thrissur (83.8%), Kollam (81.3%), and Kottayam (82.5%) also posted strong numbers, reflecting widespread acceptance across the state.

Beyond Kerala, the film showed promising traction in select urban markets. Bengaluru, a key centre for Malayalam films, recorded a decent 58% occupancy across 214 shows, contributing significantly to Karnataka's ₹1.50 crore gross. Chennai also saw moderate footfalls with 59% occupancy, aided by the film's cross-industry appeal.

Interestingly, Mumbai reported a healthy 78% occupancy despite limited shows, while the National Capital Region (NCR) registered a respectable 65.5%. These figures suggest that Patriot has managed to generate curiosity beyond its core audience base.

However, the response in regions like Hyderabad remained comparatively subdued, with occupancy hovering below 50%.

While the domestic opening was strong, it is the overseas market that has given Patriot an added push. The film grossed an impressive ₹18 crore internationally on Day 1, taking the total worldwide gross to ₹29.37 crore.
