Actor Poonam Dasgupta has approached the police after allegedly receiving explicit pornographic videos and nude images from an unknown WhatsApp number. The incident, which reportedly took place on April 27 around 6:30 pm while she was at home, left the actor deeply disturbed and under significant mental distress. She has since submitted chat screenshots as evidence, prompting authorities to begin an investigation.

Complaint Registered After Disturbing Incident

According to reports, Poonam Dasgupta filed a formal complaint at the Oshiwara Police Station in Mumbai on April 29 after discussing the matter with her husband. Officials have registered a case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and have begun efforts to trace the individual behind the unknown number.

She initially attempted to contact the sender after receiving the content, but there was no response. Following this, she blocked the number and informed her family about the situation.

Suspicion Over Sender's Identity

The actor revealed that the sender had also shared some of her old photographs that are no longer publicly accessible. This raised concerns about the possibility of the sender being someone known to her.

Poonam said, "Those pictures are not even on Google anymore. It makes me feel this could be someone known to me, trying to mentally harass me deliberately."

"I Have Never Experienced Something This Vulgar Before"

While acknowledging that being in the public eye often leads to receiving messages from fans, including some inappropriate ones, Poonam stated that this incident crossed all boundaries.

She said, "I have never experienced something this vulgar before. I have blocked many numbers earlier for indecent messages, but this is the first time someone has sent such vulgar videos. I was stunned."
