Double Health Scare Hits Smriti Mandhana Wedding: Palash Hospitalised, Father Still Under Observation

The wedding celebrations of Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palash Muchhal faced another setback on November 24, after Palash himself had to be admitted to a private hospital. The wedding, which was scheduled to take place in Sangli, had already been postponed due to a medical emergency in Mandhana's family.

Palash Muchhal Admitted With Viral Infection

Sources confirmed that Palash required urgent treatment after developing symptoms related to a viral infection and increased acidity. According to NDTV, "Palash had to go to a private hospital for treatment due to a viral infection and increased acidity. However, the issue wasn't serious. After receiving treatment, Palash has already left the hospital and returned to the hotel."

His brief hospitalisation comes at a tense time, as both families were already dealing with an unexpected health crisis.

Wedding Remains on Hold

With Palash recovering from the viral episode and Smriti Mandhana prioritising her family's well-being, the couple's wedding continues to remain on hold. No new date has been finalised amidst the dual health concerns.

Smriti Mandhana's Father Still Under Observation

The ceremony was originally postponed after Smriti's father, Shrinivas Mandhana, suddenly fell ill on the morning of the wedding day.

Tuhin Mishra, Smriti's manager, had earlier explained, "Mr. Shrinivas Mandhana's health started deteriorating during breakfast. When it didn't improve, we called an ambulance and shifted him to the hospital. He is under observation."

Family doctor Dr. Naman Shah later confirmed that he experienced angina (left-sided chest pain) and elevated cardiac enzyme levels, necessitating continuous monitoring. His blood pressure also remains high, with the medical team working to stabilise him.

Smriti, who shares a close bond with her father, decided to delay the wedding until he recovers fully. Tuhin Mishra had said, "Smriti wants her father to be okay first. Only then will she proceed with the wedding."

With Palash recovering from a viral infection and Shrinivas Mandhana still under medical care, the families have prioritised health over celebrations. Fans and well-wishers are hoping for quick recoveries and a rescheduled wedding once both are stable.
