Pakistani rapper Talha Anjum has become the focus of intense debate online after a video from his concert in Nepal showed him waving the Indian flag on stage.

The footage captures the 30 year old accepting the flag from a fan in the audience, raising it with confidence and later draping it over his shoulders while performing.

Following the backlash, Anjum addressed the issue directly on X, insisting that his decision came from a place of universal love rather than politics.

"My heart has no place for hate. My art has no borders. If me raising an Indian flag sparks controversy so be it. I will do it again," he wrote.

"I will never care about the media, the war mongering governments and their propagandas. Urdu rap is and will always be borderless."

His message received another wave of mixed responses, fueling further discussions across both nations.

Who Is Talha Anjum

Anjum was born in Karachi and is regarded as one of the prominent faces of Urdu hip hop.

In 2012, he co created the popular duo Young Stunners with Talhah Yunus, which rose to fame with tracks like Burger e Karachi and soon became a leading force in the regional rap scene.

Apart from his contributions to music, Anjum has also explored acting. In 2024, he appeared in the film Kattar Karachi alongside Kinza Hashmi and Imran Ashraf.
