OTT Release Update: Dhanush's NEEK Getting Ready For Digital Release, Pradeep's Dragon Arrival Delayed
Dhanush's directorial Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam (NEEK) and Pradeep Ranganathan's Dragon clashed at the box office, last month. While NEEK is now set for its digital premiere, Dragon is holding off its OTT release due to its strong theatrical run.
NEEK's OTT Premiere Details

A coming-of-age romantic comedy, NEEK stars Pavish Narayan, Mathew Thomas, Anikha Surendran, and Priya Prakash Varrier in lead roles, with Venkatesh Menon, Ramya Ranganathan, Siddhartha Shankar, and others in supporting roles. The film features music by GV Prakash Kumar, cinematography by Leon Britto, and editing by Prasanna GK.
The story follows Prabhu (Pavish Narayan), an aspiring chef navigating a turbulent love life, including an arranged matchmaking process, a trial relationship with school friend Preethi (Priya Prakash Varrier), and lingering feelings for his past love, Nila (Anikha Surendran). His journey is filled with nostalgia, heartbreak, and self-discovery.
The film's digital rights have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video, with a scheduled OTT release on March 21.
Dragon Continues Strong Theatrical Run
Ashwath Marimuthu's Dragon, starring Pradeep Ranganathan, Anupama Parameswaran, and Kayadu Lohar, has opened to positive reviews. Produced by Kalpathi S Aghoram, the movie also features George Maryan, KS Ravikumar, Gautham Vasudev Menon, and Mysskin. Leon James has composed the music, with cinematography by Niketh Bommireddy and editing by Pradeep E. Ragav.
The film follows Ragavan, whose life takes a drastic turn after a breakup. As he gets entangled in financial fraud in pursuit of wealth and power, he finds himself caught in a web of deception.
The digital rights for Dragon have been acquired by Netflix, but given its box office success, the OTT release is now expected in April instead of an earlier date.
