Where to Watch in India

The Oscars will be broadcast live in the United States on ABC from 8:00 PM ET / 5:00 PM PT. Viewers in India can tune in on Monday, March 3, 2025, from 5:30 AM IST. The ceremony will be available to watch live on Star Movies and Star Movies Select, with the option to stream it via Disney+Hotstar.

Host and Presenters

This year's ceremony will be hosted by Emmy Award-winning comedian and television presenter Conan O'Brien, marking his debut as the host of the Oscars. The event will also feature an impressive roster of presenters, including Oprah Winfrey, Emma Stone, Scarlett Johansson, Robert Downey Jr., and Zoe Saldaña.

Speaking about his role as host, O'Brien told Lara Spencer in an interview on 'Good Morning America', "I'm just going to keep popping in and yell, 'Host!'" He jokingly added, "Like during someone's emotional speech when they're talking about their grandmother who believed in them, and I lean in, 'Host!' Jarring. Upsetting. Probably a bad idea."

Special Performances

The ceremony promises a series of spectacular performances to add to the night's glamour. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo will perform songs from their musical drama 'Wicked'. Additionally, the event will feature performances by BLACKPINK's Lisa, Raye, Doja Cat, and Queen Latifah.

Nominations

The 2025 Oscars have showcased a diverse range of talents and films in their nominations. Karla Sofía Gascón has made history as the first openly transgender woman to receive an acting nomination for her role in 'Emilia Pérez', which leads the nominations with 13 nods. This is followed closely by 'The Brutalist' and 'Wicked', both securing 10 nominations each.

In the Best Actor category, Timothée Chalamet and Adrien Brody emerge as strong contenders, while the Best Actress category sees competition among Cynthia Erivo, Karla Sofía Gascón, Demi Moore, Fernanda Torres, and Mikey Madison. Meanwhile, in India, all eyes are on 'Anuja', a film backed by Guneet Monga and Priyanka Chopra, which has made history with a nomination in the Best Live Action Short Film category.
