Kamar de los Reyes, renowned for breathing life into Raul Menendez, the enigmatic antagonist of Call of Duty: Black Ops II, tragically passes away at 56. The iconic voice behind gaming history fell silent on December 24 in Los Angeles, leaving behind a legacy adorned with unforgettable portrayals.

The actor, famous for his portrayal of Antonio Vega in One Life to Live, had been battling cancer in recent months. At the time of his sudden passing, de los Reyes was actively involved in projects such as All American, with parts filmed for Hulu's Washington Black and Marvel's upcoming Daredevil series, as confirmed by his family to Entertainment Weekly.

Nkechi Okoro Carroll, speaking to Deadline, shared, "He was such a beloved member of our All-American family. He brought so much love, light, and joy to the set every day, even during his final days. We are so grateful for every moment he spent with us."

The family's statement revealed, "De los Reyes resided in Los Angeles, but his heart remained tied to Puerto Rico."

Kamar de los Reyes' family comprises his spouse, Sherri Saum, known for her roles in Fosters and Good Trouble, along with their nine-year-old twin boys, John and Michael. Additionally, he leaves behind his 26-year-old son, Caylen, from a previous relationship, siblings Daniel and Walfredo Jr., sisters Lily and Ilde, and his parents.

His stellar performances spanned across films like Nixon, The Cell, Salt, and TV shows including Sleepy Hollow, The Rookie, and All American. De los Reyes notably portrayed the antagonist Raul Menendez in the 2012 video game Call of Duty: Black Ops II. His portrayal of the Nicaraguan weapons dealer garnered immense love, leading to reprisals in Call of Duty: Black Ops IV and Call of Duty: Vanguard, solidifying his impact in the gaming realm.
