Yes, Netflix has bagged the post-theatrical streaming rights. The streaming giant is believed to have paid a good amount for the OTT rights. However, the price paid for the rights has not been revealed.

The movie is set to hit the platform on March 20, available in Malayalam, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada, with English subtitles.

Directed by Jithu Ashraf and penned by Shahi Kabir, Officer on Duty follows a demoted police officer (played by Kunchacko Boban) who stumbles upon a seemingly small case involving a fake gold chain. However, the investigation soon unravels a sinister network of drug peddlers targeting teenage girls. The film also stars Jagadish, Priyamani, Vishak Nair, and Aadukalam Naren.

Produced by Martin Prakkat, Renjith Nair, and Siby Chavara, the film has become the second-highest-grossing Malayalam film of 2025 so far. With cinematography by Roby Varghese Raj, music by Jakes Bejoy, and editing by Chaman Chakko, Officer on Duty delivers a gripping police procedural with a blend of intense action and emotional depth. While a few plot conveniences in the climax might spark debate, strong performances and a well-executed narrative make it a solid watch.
