O Romeo Box Office Collection Day 3: Shahid–Triptii Film Earns ₹30.15 Cr in Opening Weekend

O Romeo box office collection day 3: Shahid Kapoor and Triptii Dimri's romantic-action thriller O Romeo has earned an estimated ₹30.15 crore net in India in its first three days. Released on February 13 around Valentine's Day, the film opened to steady numbers before witnessing a Sunday dip.

The Vishal Bhardwaj directorial began its box office journey with ₹8.5 crore on Friday. Collections saw a sharp jump of nearly 49 percent on Saturday, climbing to ₹12.65 crore. However, momentum slowed on Sunday, with the film collecting ₹9 crore. Despite the drop, the opening weekend total stood at ₹30.15 crore.

As per Sacnilk, O'Romeo collected nearly ₹0.63 crore as of now on Day 4 (Monday), taking the four-day total to around ₹30.78 crore.

Better start than Shahid's recent films

While responses have been mixed, O Romeo has opened stronger than Shahid Kapoor's last two releases. Deva had collected ₹19.15 crore in its opening weekend, while Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya had earned ₹27.1 crore in its first three days.

The film has also emerged as the fourth-highest grosser of Triptii Dimri's career so far, surpassing Dhadak 2.

However, it remains well behind Border 2, which had recorded a massive ₹121 crore net India collection by its first Sunday.

Occupancy and reach

On Sunday, O Romeo registered an overall occupancy of 18.96 percent across India, with afternoon shows seeing higher footfall. The film is currently running in 4,699 shows nationwide.

Regionally, Chennai recorded the highest occupancy at 26.75 percent, followed by Jaipur at 25.50 percent. Mumbai saw 21.25 percent occupancy, while Delhi-NCR stood at 18.25 percent.

Overseas, the film has reportedly earned around ₹5 crore within two days.

About the film

Directed by Vishal Bhardwaj and produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, O Romeo also stars Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary and Farida Jalal in key roles. Tamannaah Bhatia, Vikrant Massey and Disha Patani appear in special roles.

Reports suggest that ratings and reviews for the film have been disabled on Book My Show following a court order.

With weekday collections now under focus, the coming days will determine whether O Romeo can maintain its pace at the box office.
