Not Kareena, Aishwarya Rai Was First Choice For Yash's 'Toxic'?
Amid reports of Kareena Kapoor making her debut in Sandalwood with Yash's upcoming movie 'Toxic', it was revealed last weekend that she has opted out of the project.
Without a choice, the makers have now approached Nayanthara who is considered as Lady Superstar in south Indian film industry. But now, it has now emerged that Kareena Kapoor who was the first choice to play an important role in 'Toxic'.

If not for Kareena, then who? Well, according to a report in Times Now, it was Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Although the Bachchan 'Bahu' is a Kannadiga by birth, she has not worked in a single Sandalwood film, till now.
Aishwarya was approached for several projects in the last two decades including Upendra's ambitious 'H20', but she could not take up for one or the other reasons.
Coming to 'Toxic', Aishwarya was offered a role, but she informed the makers that she could think about the project, but never reverted back. She was offered the character of Yash's sister in the movie.
As far as Kareena's decision to stay out of the project is not date issue, according to the same report. The upcoming flick has a few actresses including Kiara Advani and Shruti Haasan.
Kareena felt that her role might not get much importance. Hence, she walked out of the Yash's upcoming movie.
Meanwhile, the makers of 'Toxic' have approached Nayanthara.
"Nayanthara has shown her interest in doing Toxic and the logistics are being figured out at this point in-time. It's a well-sketched character of a sister and suits her image of a strong woman. Nayanthara is impressed that Geethu Mohandas has written such a strong character for a female and she is connecting well with her vision," a website quoted a source as claiming.
Currently in production, 'Toxic' is slated to release on April 10, 2025. The movie is currently beng shot in Bengaluru. Geetu Mohandas-directorial flick is produced by KVN Productions.
