Nikhil Dwivedi Defends Aishwarya Rai, Abhishek Bachchan Amid Divorce Rumors: 'They Were a Couple...'

In the midst of swirling rumors surrounding Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's marriage, their colleague from the film industry, actor Nikhil Dwivedi, has come forward to offer a different perspective. Dwivedi, who has shared screen space with the couple, recently opened up about his observations of their relationship during their time on set.

According to him, the duo exudes the essence of a married couple, both in their affection for each other and their professional demeanor. "They're a married couple, so naturally, they have the bond of husband and wife. We've never seen them apart," Dwivedi remarked in a discussion with Filmgyan Viral. His insights provide a counter-narrative to the divorce speculation that has been rampant.

Dwivedi, having worked closely with Aishwarya and Abhishek in the 2010 movie 'Raavan’, directed by Mani Ratnam, observed their dynamics firsthand. Despite the film's failure at the box office, he recalls their strong partnership both on and off the camera. He vehemently denies any lack of professionalism on their part, stating, "If you're asking whether they were less professional, absolutely not. They were highly professional, and yes, they are a couple." His statement sheds light on their commitment to their work, despite their personal lives being under constant scrutiny.

Amidst the rumors of discord, Nikhil Dwivedi has not only highlighted the couple's professionalism but also shared personal accolades for both Aishwarya and Abhishek. He described Abhishek Bachchan as polite and well-mannered, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as approachable and easy to converse with. These personal touches add a layer of humanity to the stars, often seen only through the lens of their public personas.

The speculation was further fueled by the absence of the Bachchan family's public birthday wishes for Aishwarya's 51st birthday, leading many to speculate about a rift within the family. However, the absence of a public acknowledgment from either party keeps the truth behind these speculations shrouded in mystery.

On the work front, while Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's latest film role was in the 2023 release 'Ponniyin Selvan: II', she hasn't confirmed any new projects. Contrastingly, Abhishek Bachchan is preparing for his role in upcoming films, including Shoojit Sircar's 'I Want to Talk and Housefull 5', slated for a 2025 release. This divergence in their professional paths adds another dimension to the public's fascination with their personal lives.
