New OTT Release In Kannada This Week - Shodha

Sunil Mysuru-directed movie Shodha will hit the OTT platform this week. It is a suspense thriller produced by Karthik and Yogi B Raj.

Pawan Kumar of Lucia fame is starring in the movie which also Siri Ravikumar, Anusha Ranganath, Arun Sagar, Ravi Hunsur and Diya Hegde in the cast. The movie has Arjun Ramu's music, Rahul Roy's cinematography and Anil Anirudh's editing.

Talking about the movie, Pawan Kumar told The Times of India: "When the team of Shodha first approached me, they felt I would fit the character. The moment I got a glimpse of it, I knew it was something I wanted to explore. As an actor, I'm always drawn to roles that allow me to dive deep, go intense, and truly perform, and this role offered exactly that. It had also been a while since I was on screen, so the timing felt perfect,"

The movie will be streamed on Zee5. It will be out on August 29.

"Right now, Zee is the only platform that has truly stepped forward to create original Kannada web series. I wanted to be part of this to support and open the doors for more stories and opportunities in Kannada. As a creator, I believe it's important to build this ecosystem so that more jobs and projects emerge. If I, as someone with a certain recognition, take this up, it sets a precedent and encourages others to come forward too," he explained.

Pawan Kumar plays the role named Rohith, a lawyer. What happens when morally ambiguous lawyer's missing wife returns forms the crux of the story. The series has a total of six episodes.
