The Tamil version of Bigg Boss got a new host last season as Vijay Sethupathi replaced Kamal Haasan while Kiccha Sudeep bid goodbye to the Kannada version after season 11. It looks like the Telugu version too will get a new host. If the latest rumours are to be believed, Nagarjuna has informed the makers that he will quit the show.

The Telugu version of Bigg Boss is set for a major shake-up as rumors are doing rounds that current host Nagarjuna has decided to quit the show. Nag decided to bid goodbye to the show as he was struggling to balance a strike between his acting career and social work.

With Nagarjuna's exit, the hunt for a new host is on. Speculations suggest that the show's producers approached several big names, including Megastar Chiranjeevi, Rana Daggubati, and Vijay Deverakonda. In the end, it appears that Vijay Deverakonda has managed to strike the channel with the channel to host the ninth season.

How Much Is Vijay Deverakonda Getting To Host Bigg Boss Telugu?

Vijay, known for his youthful appeal, strong communication skills, and family-friendly image, seems to have won the producers over. Well, the actor is being paid a bomb to host the Telutu reality show. Going by the reports, he has reportedly demanded a hefty ₹15 crore fee for hosting the season, along with a 20% raise for each subsequent season. Despite the steep demands, the makers have reportedly agreed to his terms, sealing the deal.

However, Vijay was not the first choice to replace Nagarjuna. The makers had approached Balakrishna, Chiranjeevi and Rana Daggubati, but all declined the offer. In fact, Junior NTR and Nani, who had hosted the first and second seasons, were approached, but, they did not show any interest.

Nonetheless, neither the channel nor Vijay has confirmed the development.
